Benefits of sports in a kids life

Playing sports is super fun, it gives your child something to do and a group to belong to. They have a group of friends that has the same goals and interests. Some people have found that kids that play sports, especially girls, are more likely to have a positive body image and high self esteem; they also are less likely to be overweight. Kids involved in sports are less likely to smoke or do drugs, because they want to play well, girls that play sport are less likely to get pregnant. Physical fitness from playing sports is a great stress reliever and reduces depression, because you have less time on your hands to think of negative things. Sports help kids develop discipline, they learn that setting goals can be good, then working hard to get to those goals, and that the hard work pays off in the long run. Kids that play sports also learn the old saying “you win some you lose some” sports help deal with disappointment. Sport teaches team work and leadership skills, kids learn quickly that you should work as a team to win the game. Regular exercise in children improves quality of life, and they will use that in there adulthood. Kids that are involved in high school sport are more likely to succeed in academics success and graduate. Any way you look at it, sports are good for children in every way, they will use everything that they learn as a child and use it in the adult life on regular bases. Teaching children to play well with other will give them what they need to be great adults, and be what they aren’t meant to be in this life. So teach them well.
